The roots of your teeth are what hold your teeth in place. A dental implant is just a screw that acts as a tooth root. It is hidden underneath the gums so no one sees it! The top of the tooth is replaced by a tooth-colored crown, and connected with a piece called an "abutment". For many people, that's it!
Sometimes, there is not enough bone to support an implant and hold it in place. We can build the bone back up by placing sterile bone powder replacement under the gums (also known as a bone graft) and letting it heal for a few months. If you want to see if a dental implant is right for you, call to set up a FREE 3D scan and FREE consultation now!
We look forward to meeting you!
